The Pencil-Grip tool operates on the resistance principle, and is especially suited for miniature circuits where the heat of an electric iron would melt adjacent solder joints or damage sensitive components. These tools are lightweight and versatile for production soldering in compact assemblies. Each tool features a cork grip and a perforated aluminum sleeve that dissipates heat and provides a cool operation. The Pencil-Grip tool is available in four special-purpose electrode styles and each has a 5-ft. lead cord.

Double-Carbon Electrodes: Carbon electrodes provide more heat than metal electrodes. Available in 1/8" and 3/16" diameters.
