AB030 Brush and Pad replacement kit

SERVICE NOTE: Please note that your system is equipped with carbon brushes and they need to be replaced at a maximum of every 500 hours of operation. Periodic Inspection of motor brushes is essential. Brushes should be changed at no less than 1/4" of brush material remaining. Failure to do so may result in damaged motors that will not be covered under warranty.

DISCONNECT POWER PRIOR TO ACCESSING TOP LID OR MOTOR SECTION

Open lid of SPH unit and remove filters.

Once filters are removed turn unit upside down to reveal the bottom of the unit.

Remove the seven outer screws holding the base plate to the unit (the 4 corner screws are the outer screw of each wheel assembly, do not remove the inner screw of the wheel)

You will now see the the motor as well as the brushes installed.

Using a screwdriver, unscrew the 2 screws holding down each of 2 gold colored brush casings until the brush is freed, do not unscrew completely.

Lift gold colored tab and lift/pull out each brush.

Replace each brush onto turbine motor, screwing down the phillips screws over tab just sufficiently to hold the brush in place.

Do not overtighten. Replace base of unit and install the 7 screws. Flip unit right side up and reinstall filters in the same sequence that they were removed Replace and latch lid.
