Engineered to be the electronics industry’s most robust precision cleaner, SuprClean delivers as much cleaning horsepower as older solvents like perc and 1,1,1-TCA. Noncorrosive SuprClean exhibits azeotropic-like behavior, so it is nonflammable in all applications. It dries instantly and has almost no aroma so technicians like it for the toughest jobs, such as SMT defluxing, degreasing and removing conformal coatings. It is an ideal choice for reworking today’s tough, high-temperature lead-free soldering materials.
Based on patented HFC solvent technology from DuPont, SuprClean often is used as a defluxer on through-hole and SMT boards, hybrids and connectors, and also as a heavy-duty degreaser. Its gets under tight-fitting BGA chips, dissolving flux residues and flushing them away. SuprClean also removes most acrylic and some urethane conformal coatings.
But while SuprClean is safe on most components, it may craze soft plastics and is incompatible with many “no-clean” fluxes. Test before deployment.
Importantly, SuprClean is safer than many other choices because it remains completely nonflammable in any packaging SuprClean is totally ozone-safe and has a low Global Warming Factor.
